Located in the rich historic community of Eastwood, Lantrip is located off Lockwood and McKinney, just minutes from Downtown. They are an Environmental Magnet School and also offer a Gifted/Talented and Vanguard neighborhood program. They have students enrolled from all throughout the Houston area. The school currently has 700 students and is housed with two science labs, two state of the art computer labs, an outdoor learning greenhouse and an outdoor classroom. In 2009 the school was named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the Texas Education Agency as an Exemplary School for the past three years.
